Deerfoot Trail Improvements
A series of projects along Deerfoot Trail are underway with the purpose of improving both safety and traffic flow for area motorists. Those travelling on Deerfoot Trail should allow themselves extra travel time, or consider alternate routes where appropriate.

· Check the weather forecast before you leave
· Cell service may be limited, especially in the mountains
· Dress appropriately with proper footwear and bring extra layers of clothing
· Pack insect repellant, sunscreen, a flashlight or headlamp, food, water, and a first aid kit
· Dogs must be kept on a leash, with all waste either packed out or buried
· Do not pick wildflowers or other vegetation, including deadfall
· Leave no trace: no littering, including cigarette butts and seed shells
· Be BearSmart: carry bear spray and know how to use it
· Campfires are permitted in designated facilities only
· Never leave a campfire unattended; ensure it is completely extinguished at night or before leaving your campsite
· Parking is limited and permitted in designated areas only
