| ECCC Rainfall Warning in effect across north-central Alberta | Rain with total amounts of 25 to 30 mm is expected. Localized amounts as high as 50 mm are possible. Rain will continue into Friday before ending. Due to recent and continued melt of the significantly above normal winter snowpack and recent overland flooding conditions, the ground likely has a reduced ability to absorb rainfall. Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Don't drive through flooded roadways. Allow extra time for travel. Watch for washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts. Be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions. For details, visit: Environment Canada. |
